The 2008 sponsored walk of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Roxburgh, Peebles and Selkirk Shires was held on Saturday 26th April.  This was hosted  by the Lodge of Melrose St. John No.1² and proved to be another great success.  The weather was kind to all the walkers, the majority completing the long route affording views of the countryside and the River Tweed.

On return to the Lodge, well earned refreshments were on offer.  The Provincial Grand Master Bro. Allan Marshall announced that over £2, 000 had been raised  for the Borders Youth Support Scheme with more sponsorship yet to come.  The proceeds form a raffle held on the day were also donated.

Votes of thanks were given by The Provincial Grand Master and by RWM Bro. William Field PM, of the Lodge of Melrose St John No. 1².

Thanks to everyone who made the day such a success, especially those who had made donations.

Next year, the walk will be hosted by the Lodge of Peebles Kilwinning No. 24.
