The Lodge of Melrose St. John No. 1² held a  Special Meeting on Friday 12th February 2010 and hosted a Reigning Masters Degree at which a number of the Reigning Masters from the Province of Roxburgh, Peebles and Selkirk Shires demonstrated  the working of a Second Degree at which Bro. Philip Titley, RWM No. 1², occupied the Chair.  Bro. Darren Moor, Master Mason, from the Lodge of St. John Selkirk No.32 kindly accepted the Master's invitation to stand in as the Candidate for the evening.

Assisting the Master on this occasion were Bro. Harry Wright from Lodge of St. John Jedburgh No. 104 as WSW, Bro. Robin Wilson from Lodge St. John Stow No. 216 as WJW, Bro. John Mitchell from the Hawick Lodge No. 111 as SD, Bro. Richard McCurdie from the Lodge of Peebles Kilwinning No. 24 as JD and Bro. David Jeffrey from Lodge St. Ronan's No. 856.  Also assisting the Master on this occasion and not pictured above was Bro. Donald Gardiner PM from the Haughfoot Lodge No. 1824.

The last time No.1² hosted a Reigning Masters Degree was on Friday 21st April 1995 when Bro. Peter Thomson was Right Worshipful Master.  Bro. Peter is pictured below with his Reigning Masters Degree Team.
