Bro. Jim's Distinguished Service Recognised

At the Regular Meeting on Monday 28th June 2010, which was held in the Corn Exchange and was attended by over 100 Brethren, a very special presentation was made to a very special Brother.

In recognition of  his continuous support and dedication to the Lodge, Bro. Jim Bird was presented with a Distinguished  Service Diploma along with a Distinguished Service Jewel.

Jim joined the Lodge on 19 November 1956 along with four other Candidates on the same night, was Passed on 7 Jan 1957 and Raised to the High and Sublime Degree of  Master Mason on 21 February 1957.  Jim worked away from Melrose as but always made the effort to attend the Lodge and has continued to do so ever since.  November 2006 saw the presentation of Jim's 50 year certificate.

Jim has held every Office in the Lodge with the exception of Right Worshipful Master, however, there is still time yet!!

The Bro. Titley, RWM, had the pleasure and privilege of presenting Jim with his Diploma and Jewel and was accompanied by the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, Bro. John Lamb.

Well Done and Congratulations!!
